IGUAL is appointed as the Project Manager and Principal Agent for the construction of a new multi-storey carpark in the Gateway Precinct at the V&A Waterfront. Construction works require the bulk excavation of two new levels of basement parking with two above grade levels above to create 1200 new parking bays in the precinct. The parking lot incorporates a 7,000m2 urban park at roof level, incorporating the remnants of the historic Amsterdam Battery fortifications into the design, together with a public piazza at canal level and 1200m2 of new retail space.
